AFC Asian Cup Final
Congratulations to IRAQ who are the new Asian Football Champions. A hard-fought 1-0 win against the Saudis was enough for the resilient side led by the enigmatic Younis Mahmoud, who scored in the second half with a looping far-post header.
And now let’s pray for the safety and harmony of the nation. Football has always been a remedy for conflict and this win will hopefully bring a lull to all of it.
